Lagging behind in AI

Weeks after weeks, I tried to catch up with my AI lessons but I just didn't manage to study those thick chapters in phase with tutorials. The mounting pressure to score some class participation credit in tutorials was overwhelming. But, the problem was that even if I go to tutorials, I won't be able to participate in any manner except possibly by looking stupid or by asking some dumbass questions. So, my policy was that if I hadn't studied the material, I would simply spend the tutorial time studying it instead of going to tutorial class. Therefore, in accordance with my own policy, I didn't go to any tutorial class since week 3.

But, alas, last Tues, I found that I could do some of the tutorial questions! Well, it was because I have already studied the materials which is about conditional probability in another module. So, I happily did some of those questions and marched into the class, proudly hoping to score some participation points at last.

Then, I met a friend in the class. He told me "hey, I don't know what he (prof) is going to do this week. He hasn't uploaded the tutorial questions" . . . . . . . I had nothing to do but to bang my head to the desk. I was doing last week tutorial questions!

The epilogue was that the professor distributed printed tutorial questions and discussed them , about which I completely have no idea. I think I managed to look more expressionless than stupid. And, hey, in one question, I answered Bayes formula without any idea how it was used. Btw, for whoever it is concerned, I heard him saying "shirley also never turn up". :P
