RA2 and Yuri's Revenge
Grrr... I am so addicted to those antique games. They are just irresistible. This was partly why my blog was dead for one month. It all began with RA3 (command & conquer red alert 3). I bought RA3 from Yangon (too lazy to download) only to find that my poor desktop, bought 4 years ago, doesn't have a good enough graphic card to support it. So, what did I do when I cannot play RA3? I played RA2! (By the way, RA2 is one of my all time favourite games). I have already played it for several rounds, each time assuming different strategy. Previously, I liked to turtle (for non-gamers: turtling means you prefer to use heavy base defenses to sustain yourself until you have enough forces to take out ur enemy easily). Now, I prefer aggression. I would send all my forces as soon as the game starts and take out my enemy's resource collection facilities. Well, it works for RA2 but it is not really working for Yuri's Revenge extension in which campaigns are set up with enemy bases heavily defended and their resource collection facilities simply behind their defense lines. Even if I can lay waste to all their resource collectors, they have enough initial capital to simply rebuild them all over and enough initial forces wipe out my puny base :-s
I should be doing other things... :-s :-s :-s

Playing game is not entirely useless. I learned quite a number of things from playing games =D
But, now I feel too bored to play these games now.
